The online registration process has started from 01 August 2026 and interested candidates can submit their application until 21 August 2026. Selection will be based on a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). Candidates who successfully clear all stages and fulfill the eligibility criteria will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on merit and preference

Age Limit (As on 01 August 2026)

This means a candidate should have been born not earlier than 02 August 1998 and not later than 01 August 2006 (both dates inclusive)

Category-wise Age Relaxation

Candidates belonging to reserved categories can claim relaxation in the upper age limit subject to submission of valid supporting documents.

Candidates claiming age relaxation must produce the required certificates during document verification and joining.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from
a university recognized by the Government of India or an
equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Applicants should have obtained their graduation result on or
before the prescribed eligibility date and must possess a
valid mark sheet or degree certificate while completing the online registration.

Candidates are also required to indicate the percentage of
marks obtained in graduation while filling out the online application form.
Those whose university awards CGPA or OGPA must convert their
grades into percentage according to the university’s official conversion formula and produce documentary proof during document verification.

Computer Literacy Requirement

Basic computer knowledge is compulsory for all applicants.

A candidate should possess any one of the following:

• Certificate in Computer Operations
• Diploma in Computer Applications
• Degree in Computer Science/IT
• Computer or Information Technology studied as one of the subjects during school or college education

This requirement ensures that selected candidates are capable of handling modern banking software and digital banking operations from the very beginning of their servic

The selection process is conducted in multiple stages to shortlist the most suitable candidates for appointment in participating Public Sector Banks.

Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination is an online objective test. Candidates must qualify the sectional as well as overall cut-off decided by IBPS to become eligible for the Main Examination.

Stage 2 – Main Examination

Only candidates shortlisted from the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. Marks obtained in the Main Examination are considered for the final merit list and provisional allotment.

Stage 3 – Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates applying for a particular State or Union Territory must be proficient in the specified local language. Those who cannot produce the required educational proof of studying the local language will have to appear in the Local Language Proficiency Test before joining. Candidates failing this test will not be offered appointment.

Stage 4 – Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents supporting their eligibility, educational qualification, category, age, and other claims. Failure to produce valid documents may result in cancellation of candidature.

Stage 5 – Provisional Allotment

Final allotment to a participating bank will be based on:

• Performance in the Main Examination
• Merit Rank
• Bank Preference submitted by the candidate
• State/UT-wise vacancies
• Reservation guidelines
