Follow these simple steps to download your admit card once it goes live on August 10, 2026:

1. Visit the official CSBC website: Go to csbc.bihar.gov.in on your browser. This is the only official website for the admit card — stay alert for fake or lookalike websites.
2. Click on the “Bihar Police” tab: On the homepage, find and click the “Bihar Police” tab, where all notices and downloads for this recruitment (Advertisement No. 02/2025) are published.
3. Locate the DET admit card link: Under this tab, find the link for the Motor Vehicle Driving Efficiency Test (DET) admit card. It will be active from August 10, 2026, 00:00 hrs onward.
4. Log in with your credentials: Use the registration number and password you received during your original online application to log in.
5. Download and print the admit card: Once it appears on screen, download it and take a clear printout. You will not be allowed entry to the DET venue without it.
6. Verify all details: Double-check your name, photo, and the DET date, time, and venue mentioned on the admit card. Report any discrepancy to the CSBC office as early as possible.

If any candidate is unable to download their e-admit card for any reason, CSBC has arranged a facility to collect a duplicate admit card in person:

• Dates: August 21 and August 22, 2026
• Timing: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Venue: Central Selection Board of Constables office, Back Harding Road (near Sachivalaya Halt), Patna – 800001
• Note: Candidates will have to bear the cost of obtaining the duplicate admit card themselves.

Motor Vehicle Driving Efficiency Test 

The DET is the third stage of the Chalak Sipahi selection process (after the Written Exam and PET). Here’s what candidates should know:

• The test will begin on August 24, 2026.
• Candidates will be tested on their driving ability for cars, jeeps, and buses/trucks.
• There is no fixed order prescribed for the different vehicle tests.
• Every shortlisted candidate is required to appear for the DET on their allotted date; those who miss it will be treated as disqualified, and no second chance will be given.
• The date, time, and venue for each candidate’s DET will be printed on their admit card.
• As per the original advertisement, the DET carries a maximum of 100 marks — up to 40 marks for jeep driving, 40 marks for car driving, and 20 marks for bus/truck driving (the last one is only for candidates holding a Heavy Motor Vehicle license).

Same Day as DET

One of the most important points in the notice is that document verification will be conducted on the same day as the DET. Candidates must carry their admit card along with original certificates and one self-attested photocopy of each of the following:

1. A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.)
2. Original Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) / Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license, issued at least one year before the advertisement date, i.e., on or before July 17, 2024
3. Date of birth certificate (Matriculation or equivalent certificate along with marksheet)
4. Intermediate (or equivalent) passing certificate
5. Intermediate (or equivalent) marksheet
6. Category-specific certificates for SC/ST, BC/EBC (with Non-Creamy Layer certificate), EWS, Freedom Fighter Ward (FFW), and Transgender candidates, along with a valid permanent residence (domicile) certificate
7. For candidates who were previously or are currently under contractual employment as Chalak Sipahi in Bihar Police — a “Contract Employment Period Certificate” in the prescribed format

No extra time will be given for document verification, and requests for date extensions will not be entertained.

• No requests for postponement of the DET or document verification will be accepted under any circumstances — including personal, medical, family emergencies, bone fracture, or pregnancy.
• Entry to the DET venue will not be allowed without the admit card, under any circumstances.
• Eligibility of shortlisted candidates remains entirely provisional. If any misconduct or unsatisfactory record is found at any stage, the candidature will be cancelled.
