Admit Card Release Date
The call letter for the Online Preliminary Examination has been made available for download starting 19th August 2026. Candidates can continue to download their admit card till the closing window mentioned below.

NICL Assistant Admit Card 2026 : Exam Date 2026
The recruitment process for 500 Assistant posts will be conducted in two phases:
- Phase I – Preliminary Examination: 27th August 2026
- Phase II – Main Examination: 30th October 2026
The admit card currently released is specifically for the Phase I Preliminary Examination. A separate call letter will be issued later for candidates who qualify and are shortlisted for the Main Examination.
NICL Assistant Admit Card 2026 : Exam City
NICL has notified provisional examination centres across all zones — East, North, South and West — covering major cities in almost every state and union territory. Some of the key centres include Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, New Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Jammu, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ernakulam, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Raipur and many more.
Your exact exam city and venue will be printed on your individual call letter. Since NICL recruits state/UT-wise, the exam centre allotted will correspond to the state or union territory you applied for. Once a centre is allotted, no request for change of centre, date or session will be entertained.

How to Download NICL Assistant Admit Card
Follow these simple steps to download your call letter:
- Visit the official NICL recruitment website or the examination login portal linked on it.
- Choose your preferred language — Hindi or English — on the login screen.
- Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number.
- Enter your Password / Date of Birth (DD-MM-YY).
- Enter the Captcha Code shown on the screen.
- Click on the Login button.
- Your call letter will be displayed on the screen — download and take a clear printout.
If the captcha is not readable, candidates can click the refresh option next to the captcha box to generate a new one.
Login Details Required
To download the admit card, keep the following details ready:
- Registration Number or Roll Number (received at the time of application)
- Password or Date of Birth in DD-MM-YY format
Candidates who have forgotten their password can use the “Forgot Password” option available on the login page to retrieve or reset it.
Information Given on the Admit Card
Once downloaded, candidates should carefully check their call letter for the following details:
- Candidate’s name, roll number and registration number
- Photograph and signature uploaded during application
- Exam date, shift and reporting time
- Exam centre name and address
- Category and other application details
Candidates must affix a recent, recognizable photograph on the printed call letter (preferably the same one submitted during registration) before appearing for the exam.
NICL Assistant Admit Card 2026 : Documents Required
Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the exam without carrying the following documents:
- Valid printed Call Letter for the respective exam date and session
- Original photo identity proof matching the name on the call letter (PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Aadhaar/e-Aadhaar, Bank Passbook with photo, or similar government-recognised ID)
- One photocopy of the same photo identity proof
Note: Ration Card and Learner’s Driving Licence are not accepted as valid ID proof. The name on the ID proof must exactly match the name printed on the call letter, or the candidate may be denied entry.
Exam Day Instructions
- Reach the exam venue well before the reporting time mentioned on the call letter, as the reporting time is earlier than the actual test start time to allow for verification and formalities.
- Candidates arriving after the specified reporting time will not be allowed to take the exam.
- Prohibited items at the exam centre include mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, pagers, bags, caps, wallets, and any metallic or electronic item.
- No stationery, printed or written material, or scanning/communication devices are allowed inside the exam hall.
- For the Main Examination, biometric data (thumb impression), iris scan and photograph will be captured, so candidates are advised to keep their fingers clean and dry and avoid contact lenses or heavy eye makeup.
