APPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 is now open. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Notification No. 08/2026 on 6 October 2026 to fill 41 posts of Assistant Environmental Engineer in the A.P. Pollution Control Board. Candidates holding a B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering can apply online at psc.ap.gov.in from 6 October to 27 October 2026. The post carries a pay scale of Rs. 57,100 to Rs. 1,47,760, and selection is through an online written test followed by a Computer Proficiency Test.

APPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 | Application Fee

Exemption from Examination Fee (Rs. 80)

• SC, ST, BC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Ex-Servicemen
• Families holding a White Ration Card (residents of Andhra Pradesh)
• Unemployed youth, who must submit a declaration at the appropriate time

Important Fee Notes

• Candidates from other states must pay both Rs. 250 and Rs. 80, except PBD and Ex-Servicemen.
• Pay online by Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card. Demand drafts and IPOs are not accepted.
• The fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

Age is counted as on 01 July 2026. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 44 years.

Age Relaxation

Employees of corporations and municipalities are not eligible for the government employee relaxation.

Category-wise Vacancies

Horizontal Reservation

Women get 12 posts: OC 4, SC-II 1, SC-III 1, ST 1, BC-B 2, BC-D 1, BC-E 1 and EWS 1. Meritorious Sports Persons get 2 posts under the 3% sports quota. Horizontal reservation is adjusted within each social category.

APPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 | Education Qualification

Candidates must hold one of the following from a recognized institution:

• A B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university in India, or an institution recognized by the UGC
• Or a pass in Section A and B of the AMIE (India) Civil Examination

Points to Note

• The date of the detailed notification is the cut-off date for qualification and experience.
• Distance-mode B.E./B.Tech is valid only if recognized or approved by AICTE.
• Candidates must also be Indian citizens, medically fit and of good character.

Stages of Selection

• Written examination in online Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode
• Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for shortlisted candidates, which is qualifying only
• Certificate verification and medical fitness check

Minimum Qualifying Marks (Written Exam)

Key Rules

• Final merit depends on the written exam score. Appearing in both papers is compulsory.
• If marks are tied, the older candidate is ranked higher.
• There is no waiting list, and scores may be normalized if the exam runs in multiple sessions.

APPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 | Salary Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be paid in the pay scale of Rs. 57,100 – 1,47,760 per month, as fixed by the Andhra Pradesh Government. This is a state cadre post in the A.P. Pollution Control Board, so allowances and benefits will follow state government rules.

APPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 | Exam Pattern

• Questions are objective type with four options and are set in English, with a Telugu translation for Paper I. English is the authentic version.
• Every wrong answer carries a penalty of one-third of the marks for that question.

Paper II Topics

Ecosystems, natural resources, biodiversity, engineering materials, fluid mechanics and hydraulics, process calculations and thermodynamics, air, water, soil and noise pollution control, solid and industrial waste management, global environmental problems and legislation, and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Computer Proficiency Test

The CPT is practical, lasts 60 minutes and carries 100 marks. Minimum marks are 30 for SC/ST/PBD, 35 for BC and 40 for OC. It covers computer basics, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalents).

Exam Centres

Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Ananthapuramu. Candidates can give three centre preferences.

• Scanned recent passport-size colour photograph and signature (JPG format)
• Degree certificate and marks memos, or AMIE certificates
• Date of birth proof such as SSC or school study certificate
• Community certificate for SC/ST/BC/EWS issued by a Tahsildar or above
• BC Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 01 April 2026 and before the last date
• EWS certificate for FY 2025-26 in digital format, issued on or after 01 April 2026
• Disability certificate for PBD candidates; discharge proof for Ex-Servicemen
• Local status or residence certificate, and unemployed declaration (if applicable)
• Valid mobile number and email ID registered in OTPR

Certificates must be in the candidate’s name along with the father’s or mother’s name.

APPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 | How to Apply

Step-by-Step Process

• Visit the official website psc.ap.gov.in.
• New users must complete One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) to get a user ID. OTPR alone is not an application.
• Log in with your OTPR ID and password, then click “Online Application Submission”.
• Select Notification No. 08/2026 and click “Fill Application”.
• Check your details, then fill in qualification, exam centre preferences and other required fields.
• Click “Save and Submit” and pay the fee online. Only “Save” does not complete the application.
• Download the filled application PDF and keep it for future use.

Important Tips

• Corrections cost Rs. 100 each and are allowed for 7 days after the last date. Name, fee and age relaxation cannot be changed.
• Incorrect or false information can lead to rejection and a debarment of up to five years.
• Applicants already in government service must inform their department in writing.
