The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the Department of Space, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. ISRO:ICRB:03(EMC):2026 dated 27-08-2026 for the recruitment of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science disciplines. The recruitment is conducted through the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) and covers Group ‘A’ Gazetted posts at constituent ISRO Centres as well as Group ‘A’ Non-Gazetted posts at the autonomous body PRL (Physical Research Laboratory). Interested and eligible BE/B.Tech graduates can apply online from 27-08-2026 to 16-09-2026. Selection will be through a Written Test (CBT) followed by an Interview.

Key Points:

• Graduation must be completed within the stipulated course duration prescribed by the university.
• If a university mentions both CGPA and percentage, at least one of the two must meet the eligibility norm.
• If only CGPA is mentioned, conversion of CGPA into percentage is not permitted — the CGPA itself must meet the required benchmark.
• For Dual/Integrated Degree programmes, specific rules apply regarding which CGPA/percentage (graduation-level or combined) will be considered — candidates should check the detailed notification for exact applicability.

ISRO New Recruitment 2026 | Selection Process

Selection will be made through the following stages:

Stage 1: Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT)

Conducted at 37 exam centres across India (including Raipur). The test consists of two parts covering discipline-specific knowledge and aptitude/reasoning ability.

Stage 2: Interview

Candidates are shortlisted for interview in a 1:5 ratio based on written test performance, with a minimum aggregate of 10 candidates. Interview assesses technical knowledge, general awareness, communication skills, comprehension, and academic achievements.

Final Selection

The final merit panel is prepared by giving 50% weightage to Written Test marks and 50% weightage to Interview marks.
