Official Language (Rajbhasha) Stream: A Master’s Degree in Hindi or Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s level, or a Master’s in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi as a Bachelor’s-level subject, or a Master’s Degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.

All qualifications are counted as on 31st July 2026, and candidates can apply for a maximum of two streams, provided they meet the eligibility for both.

PFRDA follows a three-stage selection process for this recruitment:

1. Phase I – Online Screening Examination: An objective-type exam that shortlists candidates for Phase II.
2. Phase II – Online Examination: A more in-depth exam consisting of a descriptive English paper and a stream-specific objective paper.
3. Phase III – Interview: Only candidates who clear Phase II are called for the personal interview round.

Candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the interview stage based on their Phase II performance. Marks scored in Phase I are used purely for shortlisting and don’t count toward the final merit list — so while Phase I is your entry ticket, it’s Phase II and the interview that actually decide your final ranking.

Selected candidates will be appointed on the pay scale of Rs. 62,500 – 3600(4) – 76,900 – 4050(7) – 1,05,250 – EB – 4050(4) – 1,21,450 – 4650(1) – 1,26,100 (spanning 17 years of service progression).

Along with the basic pay, officers receive PFRDA’s contribution to the National Pension System, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, Family Allowance, Housing Allowance, and a few other components. Taken together, the gross monthly emoluments at the entry level work out to approximately Rs. 2,05,000 per month.

Phase I – Online Screening Examination (15 October 2026)

There is negative marking of ¼th mark for every wrong answer in both papers of Phase I, and candidates need to clear individual sectional cut-offs as well as an overall aggregate cut-off to move on to Phase II.

Phase II – Online Examination (20 November 2026)

Paper 1 (the descriptive English paper) is evaluated only for candidates who first clear the qualifying marks in Paper 2. Negative marking of ¼th applies to Paper 2 of Phase II.

Phase III – Interview

Only candidates shortlisted after Phase II are called for the interview. Final selection is based on combined marks from Phase II (85% weightage) and the Interview (15% weightage).
