United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), a Government of India undertaking, has invited online applications for the recruitment of Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in the Generalist and Hindi Officer disciplines. A total of 225 posts are up for grabs across the country, with the majority of openings concentrated in the Western and Southern zones. Interested and eligible graduates and postgraduates can apply online starting 8th September 2026, with the last date for submission falling on 28th September 2026. The selection process includes a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination (Objective plus Descriptive), and a Personal Interview.

For Generalists

A Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in any discipline (Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science, etc.) from a recognised university, with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).

For Hindi Officers

A Master’s Degree from a recognised university involving Hindi and English in one of the following combinations, with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD):

• Hindi medium with English as a compulsory/elective subject, OR
• English medium with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject, OR
• Any other subject medium with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects.

Note: Working knowledge of computers is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates awaiting final results as on 30.06.2026 are not eligible.

UIIC AO Recruitment 2026 | Selection Process

The recruitment will be carried out in three stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test)

Duration of 1 hour, 100 marks, covering English Language, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. This is only a qualifying stage.

Stage 2: Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive Test)

• Generalists: Objective Test (250 marks) + Descriptive Test (30 marks)
• Hindi Officers: Objective Test (200 marks) + Descriptive Test (50 marks)

Stage 3: Interview

Shortlisted candidates from the Main Examination are called for a Personal Interview.

Final Merit List: Calculated using Main Examination (Objective Test) and Interview marks in a 75:25 ratio. Marks from the Preliminary Exam and Descriptive Test are used only for shortlisting, not for the final merit.

UIIC AO Recruitment 2026 | Salary and Pay Scale

• Pay Scale: ₹82,485 – 4050(14) – 139,185 – 4390(4) – 156,745
• Approximate Gross Pay: ₹1,10,000 per month at metropolitan centres
• Other Benefits: Gratuity, LTS (Leave Travel Subsidy), Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, National Pension System (NPS), and leased accommodation as per company rules.
• Probation Period: 1 year (extendable), during which candidates must clear the non-life Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India.
• Service Bond: Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 5 years (including probation). Early resignation attracts liquidated damages plus a one-time ₹35,000 onboarding cost.

Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer in objective sections.
