Candidates appearing in their final year degree exam can also apply, but they must complete the qualification by the closing date of the application. Male candidates opting for Delhi Police must also hold a valid LMV driving licence (for both motorcycle and car) by the date of the Physical Endurance Test.
Qualification is checked as on the closing date of the online application.
SSC CPO SI Recruitment 2026 | Selection Process
Selection runs through five stages, and clearing each stage is compulsory to move to the next:
- Paper-I β Computer Based Examination
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- Paper-II β Computer Based Examination
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME)
- Document Verification
Final merit is prepared on the basis of marks scored in Paper-II, along with the post/force preferences submitted by the candidate. Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other reserved categories.

Duration: 2 hours total (sectional timers apply). Negative marking: 0.50 marks for every wrong answer. The difficulty level of Paper-II is higher than Paper-I, and questions for Parts I-III are set in both Hindi and English.
NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate holders receive bonus marks of 2%, 3% and 5% of maximum marks respectively, in each paper.
