The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has released Advertisement No. 28/2026 to fill 308 vacancies for the post of Matsya Prasar Padadhikari (Fisheries Extension Officer) under the Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department, Government of Bihar. • Online application fee is fixed at ₹100/- for all categories.

• Maximum Age Limit:
  • Unreserved (Male): 37 Years

Age Relaxation:

• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years relaxation
• Regular government employees with 3+ years of continuous service: 5 years relaxation
• Candidates who served on contract in a non-private government-recognised institution: relaxation equal to the contract period served
• Ex-servicemen: 3 years relaxation plus length of military service, but total age at the time of application must not exceed 57 years
• Only one category of relaxation is admissible to a candidate

Bihar BTSC FEO Recruitment 2026 | Education Qualification

• Candidates must hold a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science from a Fisheries College affiliated to an Agricultural University recognised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.

• Computer Based Test (CBT): 75 Marks
• Work Experience Marks: Up to 25 Marks (for candidates who have worked on contract in a similar post in a non-private government institution, calculated proportionally per year of service)
• Total Marks: 100

Normalization Formula: Final marks = Percentage scored in written exam × 0.75
(Example: 60% marks obtained = 60 × 0.75 = 45 marks)

After qualifying the written exam, a category-wise merit list will be prepared and shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification (DV).

• Selected candidates will be placed at Pay Level-7 of the applicable pay matrix (broadly equivalent to ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 per month under the 7th Pay Commission structure), along with other admissible allowances as per Bihar Government norms.
