Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has invited online applications for direct recruitment on total 1251 vacant posts of Livestock Extension Officer in the Animal Husbandry Department under Advertisement No. 17-Exam/2026. This Main Exam is for the candidates who appeared in PET-2025. In the selection process, after shortlisting on the basis of PET-2025 normalized score, there will be written main examination. UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Recruitment 2026 : Educaiton Qualification

Mandatory Qualification:

Intermediate (10+2) passed with Biology group from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh; or
Any equivalent 10+2 examination recognized by the government; and
Two-year Livestock Extension Diploma course from any Veterinary University/Veterinary College established by law is compulsory.
Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script is compulsory.

Preferential Qualification: Candidate will be given preference if he/she has:

Served for minimum two years in Territorial Army; or
Obtained ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet Corps; or
Served continuously for fifteen years as Veterinary Dresser Class-One and Class-Two in Remount Veterinary Corps

Selection Process

Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025): Only those candidates can apply who appeared in PET-2025 and obtained the score card issued by the Commission.
Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination on the basis of their PET-2025 normalized score as per merit.
Written Main Exam: Only shortlisted candidates will get the opportunity to appear in the Main Examination.
Final Selection: Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Examination.

There will be one question paper containing objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs).

Login with your PET-2025 registration number.
Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number / email.
Fill in all necessary information in the application form and select the post / posts.

Accept the declaration and save and submit.
Pay the online fee of ₹25 (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI / SBI e-Challan).

FAQ 1: Can I apply without PET-2025?

No. This recruitment is only for those candidates who appeared in PET-2025 (Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025) and have been issued the PET-2025 score card by the Commission.
Shortlisting for the main examination will be done on the basis of PET-2025 normalized score as per merit. If a candidate has scored zero or less/negative marks in PET-2025, he/she will not be shortlisted for the main examination.

FAQ 2: What is the educational qualification for this post? Will 12th pass be enough?

No, only 12th pass is not enough. The following mandatory qualification is required for this post:
