UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 : Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  1. Intermediate (10+2) with Biology from the Uttar Pradesh High School and Intermediate Education Council or any equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
  2. Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy of 02 years and 03 months duration from a University or Institution established by law in India.
  3. Registration: Candidates should be registered with the relevant Council/Institution (if applicable).
  4. Hindi Knowledge: Must have knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
Important Update: As per the letter from the Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department-3, UP Government dated 20-05-2026, the Veterinary Pharmacy Council does not currently exist in Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, registration is not mandatory for this recruitment.

Preferential Qualification

Candidates with the following additional qualifications will be given preference:
  • (a) Have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, OR
  • (b) Possess a ‘B’ Certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
Selection Process

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 : Selection Process

The selection for UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist 2026 is based on the following stages:
  1. Shortlisting via PET 2025: Only candidates who appeared in PET 2025 and received a normalized score card are eligible. Shortlisting for the main written exam will be done category-wise based on the normalized scores of PET 2025. Approximately 15 times the number of advertised posts will be shortlisted.
  2. Main Written Examination: The final selection is based purely on the performance in the main written examination.
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification based on their merit in the written exam.
Candidates who scored zero or negative normalized marks in PET 2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination under any circumstances.
