The company is looking to fill 1346 apprenticeship training slots for a one-year duration across its four manufacturing complexes in Karnataka — Bangalore, Mysore, KGF, and Palakkad.

The opportunity is open to candidates from Engineering (BE/B.Tech), Diploma, general Graduation (BBA/B.Com/BCA/BSc), and ITI trade backgrounds. There is no written exam or interview — candidates are shortlisted purely on merit (percentage of marks) followed by document verification. BEML has not prescribed any application fee for this apprenticeship drive. Candidates from all categories (General/OBC/SC/ST) can apply free of cost. There is also no fee for document verification, since the process does not involve any written test or interview.

BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 : Age Limit

• Minimum age: 17 years, to be completed as on the date of application.
• Maximum age: No upper age limit has been mentioned in the official notice.
• Candidates who are still awaiting their final semester/year results, or who have already completed or are currently undergoing an apprenticeship anywhere else, are not eligible to apply.

Mysore Complex (227 slots) – Key trades include Mechanical Engineering (12), Fitter (56), Welder (21), Electrician (23), AI & Machine Learning (2), and Aeronautical Engineering (2).

KGF Complex (608 slots) – The largest share of vacancies, with Fitter (135), Turner (95), Welder (85), Electrician (50), COPA (45), and Mechanical Engineering (25).

Palakkad Complex (111 slots) – Key trades include Fitter (28), COPA (11), Electrician (11), Mechanical/Automobile Engineering (12), and B.Com/BBA graduate posts.

BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 : Educational Qualification & Stipend

Key Eligibility Conditions

• The qualifying degree/diploma/certificate must be from a recognised, full-time regular institute — part-time, correspondence, distance, or online qualifications are not accepted.
• Candidates must have passed their final examination within three years of the application closing date.
• The final mark sheet should clearly show the percentage of marks (not semester-wise); if only CGPA is mentioned, a percentage conversion letter from the institute is required.
• The specialization/branch must be clearly mentioned on the certificate; otherwise, a supporting letter from the college is needed.
• Candidates must have an Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account, and the name/date of birth must match across the Matriculation certificate, Aadhaar, and bank records.

BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 : Selection Process

BEML follows a fully merit-based selection process — there is no written examination or interview.

1. Registration: Candidates first register on the government NAPS portal (for ITI trades) or NATS portal (for Degree/Diploma engineering candidates).
2. Online Application: Using the NAPS/NATS enrolment number, candidates apply on the official BEML recruitment website.
3. Screening: Applications are checked against the eligibility criteria and category-wise vacancy requirement.
4. Merit List: A trade-wise and category-wise merit list is drawn up based on percentage of marks in the qualifying exam, at a ratio of 1:5 against available slots.
5. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called (in merit order) for verification of original documents. No TA/DA is paid for this.
6. Offer of Engagement: Found-eligible candidates are offered apprenticeship immediately, subject to slot availability; others go onto a Reserved Waiting Panel (maintained at 5x the slot strength) and are called as vacancies arise.
7. Final Engagement: Confirmed on signing the tripartite apprenticeship contract on the NATS/NAPS portal, plus submission of a medical fitness certificate and police verification certificate.

BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 : Exam Pattern

There is no written exam and no interview in this recruitment process. Selection is based entirely on:

• Merit ranking as per the percentage of marks scored in the final qualifying examination, and
• Document verification to confirm eligibility and authenticity of certificates.

Candidates should therefore focus on keeping their academic percentage, category certificates, and NAPS/NATS profile fully updated, rather than preparing for any test.

• NATS/NAPS Apprenticeship Registration/Enrolment Number with a 100% completed profile

Step 1 – Register on NAPS/NATS

• ITI candidates: register at the NAPS portal — apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
• Degree/Diploma Engineering candidates: register at the NATS portal — nats.education.gov.in
• Complete the profile 100% and upload all required documents.

Step 2 – Apply on the BEML Portal

• Visit the official BEML recruitment website: recruitment.bemlindia.in
• Go to the “Apprentices” section and complete Login/Registration.
• Fill in the enrolment number obtained from NAPS/NATS along with personal, educational, and bank details, then submit the form.
• No application fee is required, and applications are accepted only through this online mode.

Important: A candidate can apply for only one trade at one location. Multiple applications, or applications for more than one trade/location, will be summarily rejected.
