Candidates must have passed the full-time HSSLC (Class 12) examination in the Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects, from a recognized Board, Council, or University.
Domicile & Citizenship Requirement
- The applicant must be an Indian Citizen as per Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam and must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes.
Caste Certificate (Where Applicable) Candidates applying under the SC/ST/OBC/MOBC quota must upload a caste certificate issued by a competent authority of the Government of Assam, clearly stating the caste, the relevant Act/order, and the candidate’s place of residence.
Assam VFA Recruitment 2026 | Selection Process
The selection for Assam VFA Recruitment 2026 will be conducted as per the Assam Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Subordinate Services (Amendment) Rules, 2026, and involves two stages:
Stage 1 – OMR-Based Written Examination A written test of 100 marks (100 questions) based on Class 12 standard, to be completed in 120 minutes.
Stage 2 – Mandatory One-Year Training Shortlisted candidates must successfully complete a 1-year training programme in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science at the School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Ghungoor, Silchar (or its extended campuses) before final appointment.
- Candidates get a maximum of 3 chances to clear the training examination.
- Candidates who fail even after 3 attempts will not be eligible for appointment.
- Selected candidates must execute a bond (as per the prescribed format) before joining the training.
