The fee is a flat ₹100 for every applicant. It can be paid only online through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. Your bank may add its own small charge, and the receipt should be saved for future reference. Registering alone does not complete your application; the fee must be paid too.

The minimum age is 21 years as on 1 August 2026. Age is taken from the Matriculation certificate.

Age relaxation

• Persons with disabilities: 10 years extra.
• Bihar government employees with 3 years of continuous service: 5 years.
• Contractual veterinarians in departmental projects: equal to their service period, up to 8 years.

Selection is based on a written Computer Based Test and contractual work experience, followed by document verification.

How the marks work

• Your CBT percentage is multiplied by 0.75. Score 60%, and you get 45 marks.
• Experience earns 5 marks per year of contractual work in a similar post, up to 25. Partial years count proportionately (days worked × 5 ÷ 365).
• Experience marks go only to candidates who clear the written test.
• Qualified candidates are called for document verification in a category-wise merit list.

What counts as experience

Contractual work on a similar post in a Bihar or central government body, or in departmental projects, counts. It must be proven on the prescribed salary payment certificate (Annexure-I), signed by the relevant head of office and recommended by the Director, Animal Husbandry. Other formats are rejected. Experience is counted up to 24 September 2026.

Graduates of veterinary colleges located in Bihar get a 50% horizontal reservation across all categories.

The post is placed at Pay Matrix Level 9, with a pay band of ₹53,100 to ₹1,67,800. Allowances and other benefits are as per Bihar government rules.
