• Fee has to be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or any other mode available on the TSLPRB portal.
• OC and BC category candidates with Telangana local status pay the fee as indicated on the online portal for the entire recruitment process (Preliminary Written Test, PMT/PET, Final Written Examination and Certificate Verification).
• SC and ST candidates who are local to Telangana are eligible for a concessional fee.
• Candidates applying for more than one post among SI Civil-type posts and a few related notifications get a fee rebate for additional posts applied — ₹50 per additional post for local SC/ST candidates and ₹100 per additional post for other candidates.

Telangana Police SI Recruitment 2026 : Educational Qualification

• Candidates must hold a Degree from any university in India established/incorporated under a Central or State Act, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the UGC, as on the date of the notification (29th July 2026).
• Degrees obtained through Open Universities/Distance Education must carry recognition from UGC/AICTE/Distance Education Council.

Telangana Police SI Recruitment 2026 : Selection Process

The selection is conducted in four major stages:

1. Preliminary Written Test (PWT) – A single objective-type paper of 3 hours, 200 marks, common for all posts.
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Includes a 1600m/800m run, height measurement, long jump and shot-put. For Post Codes 12 and 16, running-event marks are counted through a normalization formula; for other posts the run is only qualifying in nature.
3. Final Written Examination (FWE) – Four papers of 3 hours each covering English, Telugu/Urdu, Arithmetic & Reasoning, and General Studies.
4. Certificate Verification – Candidates who clear the Final Written Examination are called for verification of original documents.

Final merit for most posts (11, 17, 18, 19) is based purely on Paper III + Paper IV marks of the Final Written Exam, while for Post Codes 12, 13, 14 and 16, PET marks are also factored into the final merit calculation.

95% of vacancies in each Zone/Contiguous Zone are reserved for local candidates of that Zone, as per the Telangana local cadre rules.

Selected candidates undergo Institutional Training and are eligible for a stipend during this period, as fixed by the Government from time to time. Regular pay scale and benefits apply after successful completion of the Induction Training.

Telangana Police SI Recruitment 2026 : Exam Pattern

Preliminary Written Test (Objective, 3 Hours, 200 Marks):

Qualifying marks: 30% for OC/EWS, 25% for BC, 20% for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen. Negative marking of 20% applies for wrong answers.

Final Written Examination (4 Papers, 3 Hours Each):

Papers I and II are qualifying only; final merit is based on Papers III and IV. Qualifying marks: 40% for OC/EWS, 35% for BC, 30% for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen in each paper. Negative marking of 25% applies to objective sections of Papers I and II.
