Research Centre Imarat (RCI), a laboratory of DRDO’s Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex in Hyderabad, has invited online applications for the engagement of apprentices for 2027. There are 195 vacancies across three categories: Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech), Technician Apprentice (Diploma) and Trade Apprentice (ITI). The training period is one year.

Candidates with a B.E./B.Tech, Diploma or ITI who passed between 2022 and 2026 can apply, provided they scored at least 70% marks or a 7.5 CGPA. The application link will stay open for 30 days from the date the advertisement is published in the newspaper. This is an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act 1961, not a regular government job.

Technician Apprentice (Diploma)

Diploma in ECE, Instrumentation Engineering, EEE, CSE, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Safety Engineering.

Trade Apprentice (ITI)

ITI (NCVT/SCVT affiliated) in Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Mechanic-Diesel, Electronic-Mechanic, Electrician, COPA, Draughtsman (Mechanical) or Grinder.

Minimum Marks and Other Rules

• Regular candidates who passed in 2022 to 2026 with 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA and above are eligible.
• All qualifications must be from Indian institutions recognised by the appropriate statutory authority.

• Selection will be based on Academic Merit and/or Interview, as required.

Important Points About Stipend

• Graduate and Technician Apprentices must have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account. They receive 50% of the stipend from the Board of Apprenticeship and Training (BOAT) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
• No hostel, quarters or transport is provided during the interview or the apprenticeship.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending any stage of selection.

4. Check that you meet the eligibility conditions, then submit your application.

For ITI Trade Candidates

1. Register on the Apprenticeship India portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
2. Log in and click on Apprenticeship Opportunities.

4. Choose your trade and click Apply.
