DTL Recruitment 2026 : Selection Process

Selection for both Assistant Manager (Technical) Trainee and Assistant Manager (Civil) Trainee posts is made entirely on the basis of GATE 2026 scores — there is no separate written test or interview conducted by DTL.

• AM (T) Trainee – Electrical: Valid GATE 2026 score in Paper Code “EE”
• AM (T) Trainee – Non-Electrical: Valid GATE 2026 score in Paper Code “EC” and/or “CS”
• AM (Civil) Trainee: Valid GATE 2026 score in Paper Code “CE”

• Only GATE 2026 normalized marks (out of 100) are valid — GATE scores from 2025 or earlier will not be accepted.
• Separate merit lists are prepared for each of the three categories of posts.
• Inter-se seniority within the Assistant Manager (Technical) cadre is fixed in a 9:1 ratio between Electrical and Non-Electrical streams.

• During Training: Pay Level-09 (with Central DA pattern and allowances such as House Rent/Accommodation, Conveyance, Medical, LTC, etc., as per company rules)
• After Successful Absorption: Pay Level-10 (with Central DA pattern and similar allowances)

There is no separate written examination conducted by Delhi Transco Limited for this recruitment. Selection is based purely on a candidate’s GATE 2026 score (normalized marks out of 100) in the relevant paper code — EE for Electrical, EC/CS for Non-Electrical, and CE for Civil posts.
