The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has issued Advertisement No. 19-Pariksha/2026 for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (Agriculture) under the Directorate of Agriculture. This is the Main Examination stage (PA0AP0-2025/19) for a total of 134 vacancies. Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and hold a valid normalized PET score card are eligible to apply for this Main Exam. UPSSSC JE Agriculture Recruitment 2026 : Application Fee
There is no application fee for the Main Exam registration stage itself — candidates only need to pay an online processing fee of ₹25 at the time of registration, irrespective of category (Unreserved, OBC, SC, ST).

- Candidates belonging to Dependents of Freedom Fighters, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Divyang (PwD), and Outstanding Sportsperson categories will pay fee as per their original/parent category.
- Important: A separate Main Examination fee will be charged only from those candidates who get shortlisted for the Main Exam based on their PET-2025 score. This fee must be paid before downloading the admit card for the Main Exam.
- Payment can be made via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.
UPSSSC JE Agriculture Recruitment 2026 : Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age is calculated as on 1 July of the calendar year in which the recruitment vacancies were advertised by the Commission.
- Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and other categories notified by the UP Government from time to time will get age relaxation as per applicable government rules.

UPSSSC JE Agriculture Recruitment 2026 : Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following mandatory qualifications as per the UP Agriculture Department Junior Engineer Service Rules, 2015 (Part-4, Rule-8):
- High School certificate from the UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
- A three-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from the UP Prashidhik Shiksha Parishad (Board of Technical Education), or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).
Preferential (Desirable) Qualification
As per Rule-9 of the same service rules, preference in direct recruitment will be given to candidates who:
- Have served a minimum of 2 years in the Territorial Army, OR
- Hold a ‘B’ Certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC)
UPSSSC JE Agriculture Recruitment 2026 : Selection Process
Selection to the post of Junior Engineer (Agriculture) is made purely on the basis of a Written Examination (Main Exam). The process works in two stages:
- Stage 1 – PET 2025: Candidates must have already cleared/appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2025 with a valid normalized score.
- Stage 2 – Shortlisting for Main Exam: Based on the PET-2025 normalized score, eligible candidates are shortlisted category-wise (up to 15 times the number of vacancies) to appear in the Main Written Exam.
- Stage 3 – Main Written Exam: Final selection/merit is based entirely on marks scored in this written examination. There is no interview.
Candidates who scored zero or negative marks (absolute or normalized) in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Exam.

Selected candidates for the post of Junior Engineer (Agriculture) will be placed in:
- Pay Level: Level-6 (as per 7th Pay Commission)
- Pay Scale: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to standard government allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and other benefits as applicable under UP Government service rules.

- Visit the official UPSSSC website: upsssc.gov.in
- Go to the Live Advertisement Segment on the homepage and locate this notification (Advt. No. 19-Pariksha/2026).
- Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number and verify via the OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email.
- Fill in the required details in the Application section — most personal details (name, parents’ name, category, gender, marital status, contact info) will be auto-fetched from your PET-2025 data.
- Fill in the mandatory educational qualification details (board/institution name, year of passing, certificate/roll number, marks) as per the advertisement.
- Verify your photo and signature (already uploaded during PET-2025) — no changes can be made at this stage.
- Select any preferential qualification (Territorial Army/NCC ‘B’ Certificate), if applicable.
- Read and accept the declaration, enter the verification code, and click Save and Submit.
- Pay the ₹25 online processing fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI/SBI e-Challan.
