The Chhattisgarh Directorate of Public Instruction has announced CG Vyapam Lecturer Recruitment 2026 for 854 Lecturer posts in government schools of the state. The written exam will be held by the Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB, earlier Vyapam). Applications are open from 29 September 2026 and the last date is 26 October 2026.

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) of Chhattisgarh: up to 5 years
• Women candidates: up to 10 years, as per the Chhattisgarh Civil Services special provisions for women, 1997

• State government employees and state corporation or board employees: upper limit up to 38 years
• Winners of Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, Gundadhur Samman, Maharaja Praveer Chandra Bhanjdeo Samman and National Youth Award: up to 5 years
• Couples under the inter-caste marriage promotion scheme: up to 5 years

Maximum Age After Relaxation

Even after claiming relaxation on more than one ground, the age cannot go beyond 45 years.

Reserved Posts Inside the Total Vacancy

• Women (Chhattisgarh residents): a separate share in each category. For example, E-Cadre Hindi has 7 (UR), 2 (SC), 5 (ST) and 2 (OBC).
• Ex-servicemen: 0 posts in every subject.
• Persons with disability (Chhattisgarh residents): 4 posts each in Hindi, English and Sanskrit; 3 posts each in Physics, Political Science, History, Geography and Economics.

Candidates need a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in second division in the concerned subject from a recognised university, along with a B.Ed. degree. NCTE notifications and court orders will also apply.

Other Eligibility Points

• A valid Chhattisgarh local resident certificate is mandatory.
• Qualification certificates must be obtained on or before the online application last date.
• You can apply for only one subject. Applications for more than one subject are rejected.
• Totally blind candidates trained in Braille can teach language, arts and commerce subjects; untrained ones are not eligible.
• Hard of hearing candidates are eligible only if they can hear with a hearing aid; totally deaf candidates are not eligible.

Selection is based on the written recruitment exam conducted by CGSSB. The notice mentions no interview.

Steps in Selection

1. Written Exam: objective, OMR-based test by CGSSB.
2. Selection List: prepared from the written exam result, valid for 6 months from release.
3. Waiting List: for each category, with 1 to a maximum of 25% of vacancies, valid for 9 months.
4. Document Verification: details will be shared on the portal eduportal.cg.nic.in.
5. Medical and Police Verification: selected candidates must be medically fit and clear character verification. Disabled candidates are tested by the District Medical Board.

Probation

Every directly recruited candidate is on probation for 3 years, which can be extended by up to one year.

CGSSB only conducts the exam and releases the result. Verification and appointment are handled by the department, and appointments stay subject to the Supreme Court’s final order in SLP (C) No. 019668/2022.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Lecturers in Gazetted Class II under Pay Matrix Level-09, along with dearness allowance and other allowances as per Chhattisgarh government orders.

Exam Day Rules

• Reach the centre at least 2 hours early. The main gate closes at 9:30 AM.
• Carry only the admit card, a blue or black pen and one original photo ID (Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN or Aadhaar).
• Wear light-coloured half-sleeve clothes and slippers. Dark colours are not allowed.
• Phones, electronic gadgets, watches, purse, scarf, belt, cap and ear ornaments are banned.
• You cannot leave the hall in the first and last 30 minutes.

Answer Key and Objections

CGSSB releases a model answer key after the exam. Objections need proof (guidebooks not accepted) and a fee of ₹50 per question, filed separately for each question. OMR sheets are machine-checked, so there is no re-checking, and the final answer key cannot be challenged.

Step-by-Step Process

3. Complete the new Profile Registration with photo and signature, or log in if already registered.
4. Check your profile carefully, because the form auto-fills from it and the result is made on the same data.
5. Open the Lecturer Recruitment (LSL26) form and choose one subject and cadre.
6. Pay the exam fee online.
7. Press SUBMIT after payment. The application is incomplete without it.
8. Print the submitted form and keep it safe.
