ISRO IPRC Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 22 Technician, Technical Assistant, Cook & Fireman Posts
ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri, under the Department of Space, has released a fresh recruitment notification (Advertisement No. IPRC/RMT/2026/01 dated 12 September 2026) inviting online applications for 22 vacancies across various technical and support posts. Fee Structure
- Post Code 60 to 62 (Technical Assistant posts): ₹750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty Only)
- Post Code 63 to 68 & 70 to 71 (Technician, Cook, Fireman posts): ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only)
Mode of Payment
The fee can be paid only through online mode via the SBI e-Payment Gateway using:

Cash, cheque, demand draft, IPO, or money order payments are not accepted.
Refund Policy
- Refund is applicable only to candidates who appear for the Written Test.
- Female / SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD candidates get a full fee refund.
- Other candidates get a partial refund — ₹500 back for Post Codes 60–62, and ₹400 back for Post Codes 63–68 & 70–71 (bank charges deducted).

- Post Code 71 (Fireman ‘A’): 18 to 25 years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation (where post is reserved for the category)
- OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation (where post is reserved for the category)
- Additional relaxation is also available for Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Widows, Divorced women, women judicially separated from husbands (not remarried), and Meritorious Sportspersons, as per Government of India norms.

- Mechanical: First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Production Engineering
- Electronics & Communication: First Class Diploma in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Technician ‘B’ (Post Code 63–68)
- Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th Standard AND
- ITI Certificate in the respective trade (Turner, Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or Electrician) with NTC (NCVT) or NAC (NCVT).
Cook ‘A’ (Post Code 70)
- Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th Standard AND
- 5 years’ experience as a Cook in a well-established Hotel/Canteen, supported by a valid experience certificate.
Fireman ‘A’ (Post Code 71)
- Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th Standard AND
- Must meet prescribed Physical Fitness Standards AND
- Must upload a Preliminary Medical Examination (PME) Certificate along with the online application.

Key Points
- Final selection is based only on Written Test scores; the Skill Test is purely qualifying in nature.
- The Written Test will be conducted offline (OMR-based) at Tirunelveli and Chennai centres.
- In case of a tie in Written Test marks, academic scores of the qualifying exam will act as the tie-breaker.
- Written Test papers will be bilingual (English & Hindi) for Post Codes 60–62, and trilingual (Tamil, Hindi, English) for Post Codes 63–71.

Technical Assistant & Technician ‘B’ (Post Codes 60–68)
- Written Test: 80 Multiple Choice Questions, based on the curriculum of the prescribed qualification
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Marking: +1 for correct answer, −0.33 for wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks: 32/80 for UR category, 24/80 for reserved category
- Skill Test: 100 marks (Go/No-Go basis); minimum 50 marks required to qualify (40 marks for reserved category)
- Candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio (minimum 10 candidates per post)
Cook ‘A’ (Post Code 70)
- Written Test: 100 MCQs covering Cooking Knowledge, General Knowledge, General English & Arithmetic (10th standard level)
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Marking: +1 for correct answer, −0.25 for wrong answer
- Skill Test: 100 marks, qualifying nature; minimum 60 marks required
Fireman ‘A’ (Post Code 71)
- Written Test: 100 MCQs covering Basic Chemistry, LPG Properties, Pressure-Volume-Temperature relations, Mensuration, Basic Electricity, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, and Basic English
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Marking: +1 for correct answer, −0.25 for wrong answer
- Physical Efficiency Test: Conducted in two stages (Running, Rope Climbing, Fireman’s Lift Carry, Long Jump, 100m Run)
