By-Virendr@ > The Ladakh Police Subordinate Service Recruitment Board (LPSSRB) has come out with a fresh employment opportunity for job seekers of the Union Territory. Through Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2026, the board is inviting online applications for direct recruitment to the post of Constable (Level-02) in the General Cadre, which covers Executive, Armed/IRP, SDRF, Women Battalion and Border Battalion units. A total of 331 vacancies have been announced this year, and this number has come up after the recent re-organisation of districts in Ladakh and the resulting redistribution of sanctioned posts.

Candidates who are looking for a stable government job in the police department and who meet the eligibility conditions can apply online starting 29 August 2026. Candidates need to pay the examination fee online only, through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card or UPI on the recruitment portal at the time of form submission.

Please note that the fee, once paid, is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other exam. Applications submitted without the required fee will be treated as invalid and rejected.

• The candidate must have passed 10th Class / Matriculation from a recognised Board of School Education.
• Serving Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Ladakh Police who have completed at least three years of continuous engagement are eligible with 8th Pass qualification, subject to fulfilment of other conditions.
• The qualification must have been acquired on or before the last date of online submission.

Ladakh Police Constable Recruitment 2026 | Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in the following stages:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying in nature
2. Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying in nature
3. Scrutiny of Original Documents/Testimonials – Qualifying in nature
4. Scrutiny/Assessment of NCC Certificate – Incentive up to 5%
5. Desired Qualification Test – Incentive up to 5%
6. Written Examination – 100 Marks

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Male Candidates

• Height: 162 cm (minimum)
• Chest: 81 cm unexpanded (minimum)
• Chest: 85 cm expanded (minimum)

Female Candidates

• Height: 152 cm (minimum)

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Male Candidates

• Long Race: 1600 metres in 7 minutes 30 seconds
• Long Jump: 12 feet (three attempts)
• Push-ups: 20

Female Candidates

• Long Race: 1200 metres in 7 minutes 30 seconds
• Long Jump: 9 feet (three attempts)
• Shot Put: 4 kg, 14.5 feet (three attempts)

The PST/PET process will commence from 22 September 2026 onwards.

The advertised post of Constable (Level-02) will carry pay and allowances as admissible under Level-02 of the applicable Pay Matrix, along with other allowances as permissible under Ladakh Police/UT Administration rules.
