Delhi High Court Recruitment 2026 | Educational Qualification

For Senior Personal Assistant (SPA)

  • Graduate from a recognized University
  • Shorthand speed of 110 words per minute (English)
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute (English) on computer
  • Good working knowledge of computers

For Personal Assistant (PA)

  • Graduate from a recognized University
  • Shorthand speed of 100 words per minute (English)
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute (English) on computer
  • Good working knowledge of computers

Note: Candidates must hold the required qualification as on the last date of application, i.e., 05.10.2026.


Delhi High Court Recruitment 2026 | Selection Process

Candidates will go through four stages of examination:

Stage 1 β€” English Typing Test (Qualifying)

  • 10-minute duration
  • Minimum speed required: 40 wpm
  • Maximum permissible mistakes: 3% of total words typed

Stage 2 β€” English Shorthand Test

  • SPA: 110 wpm | PA: 100 wpm
  • Dictation duration: 5 minutes
  • Transcription time: 45 minutes
  • SPA carries 120 marks, PA carries 110 marks
  • Each candidate gets two attempts; the better of the two is considered

Stage 3 β€” Main (Descriptive) Examination

  • Total Marks: 100 | Duration: 120 minutes
  • Sections: Essay (40 marks), Letter Writing (15 marks), Grammar & Comprehension (25 marks), Translation Hindi-English & English-Hindi (20 marks)
  • Qualifying marks: 50% for General category, 45% for Reserved category (including PwBD)

Stage 4 β€” Interview

  • Total Marks: 15
  • No minimum qualifying marks

Final Merit List is prepared using marks from Stage 2 + Stage 3 + Stage 4. Stage 1 (Typing Test) is only qualifying in nature.
